Respect Our Ethos

St Bede's is a place where children thrive through working together. They experience both the desire and elation of achievement; they take risks and reap the rewards; they face all kinds of challenges and along away have lots of fun whilst learning! During all of this stimulation, we encourage a sense of respect towards each other and also between staff, parents, governors and the local community. This is crucial in developing each child’s personality and their sense of moral values.

About two years ago, a group of dedicated parents came together to develop a Parents Charter about respecting each other in a rapidly changing culture. For example correct and respectful use of social media is vital in today’s society when you want to promote and encourage the family values, which are central to a school like ours and for which mutual respect of each other is essential.

Let's go forth as a socially conscious school community, celebrate all that we have achieved and look forward to our future developments!
