Links with Local Businesses


Country Valley Foods has been providing high quality fresh meat to the catering industry for over 40 years.  A family business, Country Valley Foods was established by Stewart Munro in 1971 as a small poultry wholesaler.

Since then they have grown in to a large catering butcher and wholesale food company with 17 vehicles delivering to 100s of restaurants, hotels, food producers, retail butchers and homes across the North of England.

Country Valley’s reputation for excellent quality, local meat, poultry and chefs’ products is what keeps our business growing and growing

An inspirational was organised by Anna Coulson (Headteacher at St Bede’s) and James Munro (Managing Director of Country Valley Foods) with a view to uniting businesses and education providers in developing the life skills of children to ensure their preparation for employment in the wider world. Developing Future Winners took place in July 2016 at Wynyard Hall and was a great success; we have received some very positive feedback from the day.

James Munro, Managing Director of Country Valley Foods said, “Awareness and understanding of the world of work is integral to the delivery of education and this is best achieved through business and schools working in partnership.  Country Valley is dedicated to working with St Bede’s and is excited to witness new partnerships being formed at this event.”
