This term has proved to be extremely busy and we look forward to celebrating Holy week.
In preparation for Holy week, the staff have prepared beautiful RE sessions and liturgies which will be thought provoking, emotional and we hope that children will be able to relate this to their everyday lives. Please feel free to join us for our Holy week liturgies.
Monday 10th April 9.15am The Triumphant Entry into Jerusalem.
Tuesday 11th April 9.15am The Cleansing of the Temple.
Wednesday 12th April 2.30pm Jesus is anointed for burial.
Thursday 13th April 9.15am The washing of the feet.
Thursday 13th April 2.30pm Commemoration of the Passion.
The focus throughout the week builds with the symbols of the theme and at the beginning of Holy week each child will receive a small paper cross and anonymously writes something that needs forgiveness. After the Commemoration of the Passion, the crosses are gathered up and redistributed around the classes. The children then rub out the sin on the cross and decorate the cross with rainbow colours and signs of new life.
