We are now in the second half of our Summer Term and there are so many things to look forward to that help to make life at St Bede’s School so rich, vibrant and fulfilling.
On Friday our beautiful Year 6 children returned from the educational visit to Edinburgh. They had a fantastic time and were super role models for our school. Behaviour was exceptional and children were courteous and polite and this was commented on at places they visited.
Saturday 16th June was a very special day for some of our Year 3 children as they received Jesus for the very first time in Holy Communion. On Saturday 23rd June, more of our Year 3 children will be doing the same. As this is a parish event, everyone is most welcome to Mass at 11am at St Bede’s Church to support the children.
Wednesday 20th June, we had ten teachers from our local area visiting our school to join in a Global Learning Walk. Our visitors were wowed by our displays and the learning shown in floor books. They also visited our classes to watch our St Bede’s teachers teaching global learning to your children. At the end of the visit, they all commented on how engaged children were in their learning. They also commented on the ‘feel’ of the school and how welcome they felt as soon as they walked through our doors. Children were very articulate and spoke knowledgeably about different difficulties facing our world.
